Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio 2001
Pinot Gris/Grigio
from Trentino-Alto Adige, Italy
winemaker's notes:
This dry white wine is pale straw-yellow in color. The clean, intense aroma and dry flavor with pleasant green apple aftertaste make Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio a wine of character and versatility.
Culinary suggestions: Excellent as an aperitif, ideal accompaniment to seafood salads and fish- and shellfish-based pasta and rice courses. Perfect with white meats and boiled or grilled fish and with soufflés.

My wife and I tried Santa Margherita on a Carribean cruise for our honeymoon. We tried it the first night of the cruise at a wine tasting and drank it the rest of the cruise! Very good, not too strong and is simply delicous. The best Pinot Grigio I have had!

I first tasted this wine at a restaurant called "Lillians" located in Bermuda. It was a recommendation from the matre'd and we thought we'd give it a try. Accompanied by their fresh, succulent and wonderful seafood, this wine simply made everything better... I am not a big wine drinker, but this was really good. Hope you give it a try and love it like I do!
