Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Bright, crystalline straw yellow. Very expressive aromas, exuberant, with tremendous personality. Notes of herbes fines framed by aromas of lime and mineral notes that lend complexity and elegance. Voluminous, well-balanced, and fresh, with the clear notes of green chilies that are so typical in this valley and a harmoniously crisp finish.

Ideal with oysters and ceviches. Also good with baked or grilled fish and goat cheese.

Critical Acclaim

"Generously rich in white fruit flavor and floral notes, this wine's sharp edge of acidity keeps all that flavor depth from seeming sweet. Instead, it comes off as crisp, for batter-fried bait fish."
