Wine Style Guide

Light & Crisp

Light to medium bodied wines that are high in acid and light to medium fruit. Typically no oak.

Fruity & Smooth

Light to medium bodied wines with lots of juicy fruit, typically medium acid and medium oak.

Rich & Creamy

Full bodied wines that have typically undergone malo-lactic fermentation and/or spent time in oak.

Winemaker's Notes

Intense and powerful aromas of blackcurrant, passionfruit, grapefruit and gooseberry. A full, crisp and powerful wine showing intense flavours of passionfruit and blackcurrant, with underlying gooseberry tones. This wine has a full yet elegant palate, subtle minerality and a well balanced long, lingering finish.

Critical Acclaim

"Citrus scents of lime and ruby red grapefruit tame the passion fruit aromas of this wine. It's tight and austere, with the kind of through line of acidity that's mouthwatering with freshly shucked oysters and clams."

Style: Light & Fruity
OK I do have an emotional attachment to this winery since we used to grab this all the time in New Zealand, but I found it to be consistently delicious, and a little more edgy than other NZ Sauvignon Blancs at a similar price point. Give it a shot!
