Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Bright gold, green tinge. Tropical, citrus nose. Baked apples, grapefruit and quince create a rich palate with savoury complexity. A weighty wine with great balance of wood and fruit. Lovely long finish.

Critical Acclaim

"A rich style, with cardamom and ginger notes up front, followed by buttered brioche, tangerine and orange zest hints. The rich finish lets the spice and fruit linger, while fresh acidity helps add length. "
