Winemaker Notes

After maturing two years in oak casks, this Vintage Port was bottled. It has a remarkable aromatic concentration and a very rich structure, with balance and elegance. Besides pairing with classic cheeses, this Port can be enjoyed with jellied consommé of oxtail with crèpe concentrate; pigeon and 'foie gras' sautéed with glazed turnips, pistachio and roasted pecan nuts; crisp squab with crystallised orange powder; or caramelised pears with Roquefort mousse on Parmesan crisps.

Rozès was founded in 1855 by Ostende Rozès and has its production facility in Régua, in the heart of the Douro Valley, far from the office located in Vila Nova de Gaia. Both the cellars in Gaia and the vineyard of the Douro Valley are listed as World Heritage by Unesco.
