Wine Style Guide
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Alcohol By Volume: 14.5%
Alcohol By Volume Guide
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.
Crimson with ruby hues. Displays intense berry fruit aromas with a deep underlying smoky spice. Savory oak is also evident, underlying the primary fruit characters. On the palate, the wine displays a fine depth of deep, spicy fruit flavor, rich in cinnamon and licorice characters with a background of dusty, soft ripe tannins. The rich core of dark fruit is supported by a long, elegant finish.
"The 2006 GSM Show Reserve (47% Grenache, 47% Shiraz, and 6% Mourvedre) was raised in a mix of new and seasoned oak (70%) and tank (30%). Dark ruby-colored, it sports a complex perfume of smoke, Asian spices, underbrush, kirsch, and blueberry. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, cinnamon and licorice notes emerge along with plenty of spicy, layered fruit and enough fine-grained tannin to ensure 2-3 years of further development. This savory, pleasure-bent wine will drink well though 2018.
The Wine Advocate
"Bright colour; raspberry, spice and a touch of bramble; focused sweet fruit is played off with a savoury core; dark and chewy, there is plenty of interest on the finish. Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre.

Smooth & Supple
This is a very smooth red blend. Guests during Christmas holidays loved it.
Earthy & Spicy
Decnt wine. Nice flavor. Low enough price point to warrant a purchase. Seems flexible enough to accompany any food.
Smooth & Supple
I didn't realize this was a screw-cap wine, and probably wouldn't have bought it if I had noticed. This is a tasty Grenache, Syrah, Morvedre blend.I paid $17.99 ea. for 6 of them, and would purchase this vintage again.

In McLaren Vale, there are vines as far as the eye can see. As in other parts of...

Most wines from the Southern Rhone use Grenache as their...
