Winemaker's Notes

A Rhone-style blend of 47% Grenache, 47% Shiraz and 6% Mourvedre.

Crimson with ruby hues. Displays intense berry fruit aromas with a deep underlying smoky spice. Savory oak is also evident, underlying the primary fruit characters. On the palate, the wine displays a fine depth of deep, spicy fruit flavor, rich in cinnamon and licorice characters with a background of dusty, soft ripe tannins. The rich core of dark fruit is supported by a long, elegant finish.

Critical Acclaim

"Smooth, ripe and deftly balanced. Not a huge wine, but generous with its plum, blackberry and exotic spice aromas and flavors, lingering effortlessly on the open-textured finish. Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. Drink now through 2014."
