While Rombauer Vineyards describe this wine as fruity with flavors of pear, apple, etc., I have to say that I think this wine boasts more of oak, vanilla and butter. This is why I love it. A fantastic chardonnay that I would buy again and again.
Starts out with some ripe sticky pear. Then moves softly into into some butter and finishes heavily with light toasted oak.
For those that think this vintage pales to past vintages, try Talbot Sleepy Hollow. Unbelievable and similar style...!
