We have added the following products to your shopping cart from a previous visit:
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Very deep red almost purple color. On the nose, very rich oak balanced by fragrant ripe fruits. Explosion of intense vibrant fruit that support the evident but not conquering silky oak. There is a very intense tight bright palate that is bursting to get out - shows depth and length on the palate very broad rich palate. Exceedingly rich and intense palate with a brick wall core of fruit. Spices, cloves and chocolate a melted together with amazing vibrant tannins that lift into the wine in perfect harmony. A real pleasure to drink.
"The sensational 2005 Shiraz “Hanisch” was aged in 80% new American oak, the balance in seasoned French. It has a fabulous perfume of cedar, tobacco, vanilla, spice box, truffle, pencil lead, plum, and blueberry. Voluptuous, intensely flavored, and already complex, it will unfold over the next decade and drink well through 2025 for those fortunate enough to track some down."
The Wine Advocate
"Rich, wonderfully, hedonistically luscious, but not jammy; perfect tannin support (and oak) provides the magic to a very particular wine."
Australian Wine Companion
"Supple, generous and impressively long. Offers beautifully delineated blueberry, plum and blackberry fruit, shaded with hints of clove and white pepper, finishing with a creamy texture."
