This bottling is from a small triangle shaped vineyard on the southern end of our property. The wine has aromas of ripe cherry and spice with a touch of anise with concentrated flavors of bright fruit that are balanced and rich.
Wine Spectator - "Very rich and deeply concentrated, this extraordinary wine is focused on a dense core of blackberry, with a touch of jam, showing hints of raspberry and wilted rose as well. Firm, tight, concentrated and pleasantly tannic, this has a lot going for it."
Wine Enthusiast - "Three Corner is a block in the estate vineyard that was planted in 1974. The 2010 is very rich and full bodied,—dramatically so—packed with cherries and pomegranates and savory spices and minerals. The power reflects the vineyard's site in a warmer part of the valley. But the wine never loses sight of elegance, and, like all Rochioli's vineyard designated Pinot Noirs, it is in need of age. Don't even think of popping the cork before 2016, and the wine should develop for many years afterward.

Layers of fruit continue to build in the glass as the wine fills out over time. This is a dazzling effort from Tom Rochioli.

The Russian River Valley is named as such due to its proximity to the Russian River, the river itself named for the Russian fur traders who came down from Alaska in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. The Russian River is agricultural land. While there is a focus on wine, beyond the vineyards are many small, family-owned farms cultivating everything from cattle to Christmas trees.
Notable FactsThe proximity of this cool river and the rolling fogs from the Pacific Ocean make the area amenable to cool-climate grapes like Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. In fact, the region is quite known for its full-bodied, yet elegant Pinot Noir, as well as their ripe, yet lean Chardonnays. Within Russian River Valley lie the smaller appellations of Chalk Hill and Green Valley. Chalk Hill is the warmer of the two and furthest from the ocean, while Green Valley is cooler and closer to the water.

Alcohol By Volume GuideMost wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer.
