2009 was a tale of two distinct harvests in the Adelaide Hills. An excellent lead into the growing season was followed by warmer than normal conditions making site selection and timing of harvest important. Our earlier harvested Pinot Grigio escaped the heat resulting in grapes with freshness and clarity of flavor.
Texture and structure are the hallmarks of our Pinot Grigio. We aim to capture the delicate pear, ginger and spice notes of the variety. We ferment some parcels with more solids to promote palate weight. The wine's natural partridge-eye hue has been retained in a wine that is crisp and fresh with the pure flavor of Pinot Grigio.
