Riddoch Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz 2000

The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz derives from times decades ago when Shiraz was in abundance in Australia while Merlot (the traditional French blending variety with Cabernet) was not widely available. An intriguing and generous new wine was born from historic necessity and is now a traditional partnership in Australia.

With a deep crimson color, this wine offers rich berry aromas with a little mint, cedar and subtle charred oak.

The palate is well balanced and rounded with flavors of berries, licorice and spice smoothly combined with mellow smokey oak.
