"The 2007 Chardonnay Alpine Vineyard is an elegant, complex effort displaying notes of citrus, lemon oil, poached apples, and pears as well as a distinctive crushed rock-like minerality. This fresh, medium-bodied beauty reveals no evidence of oak. Production is four barrels (105 cases). It should have 5-7+ years of life ahead of it.
The Wine Advocate
"Light yellow. Seductive perfume of pear, sweet butter, hazelnut and nougat, with a strong mineral underpinning. Tangy, sharply focused citrus flavors are complemented by smoky minerals and a hint of honeysuckle. The minerality gains strength on the long, sappy, smoky finish, adding impressive energy and cut. This is balanced to reward cellaring but there's a lot going on right now.
