Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Orange oil, grapefruit, pineapple, and lime zest aromatics. More orange zest, fresh raspberry seeds, peach and wet stones on the palate. Full bodied mid-palate, balanced by vibrant acidity that provides a clean and lingering finish.

Critical Acclaim

"Intensely floral on the nose, this slightly off-dry Riesling is concentrated, with juicy citrus and stone fruit flavors. Hints of wax and fresh herb add complexity to the midpalate, along with a honed, steely minerality that carries through the long and dry finish. Editors' Choice"
