Generations is a tribute to five generations of Raymond family winemaking
in the Napa Valley. This limited production wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon
and the family's ultimate expression of this varietal.
Grapes for the Raymond Generations Cabernet Sauvignon were hand
selected from some of the best vineyards in St. Helena and Rutherford, including
Raymond's Rutherford estate vineyards. By blending grapes from these appellations
they are able to make a wine that presents a full spectrum of flavors.
Rich aromas of dark plum, black cherry, chocolate, violets, dried sage, star
anise, currant and vanilla caramel followed by balanced, luscious, ripe
flavors of plum, blackberry, black cherry, dark chocolate, black pepper and
cassis. Well structured with integrated tannins and a silky smooth vanilla
and spicy oak finish.
An excellent match for filet mignon, Cabernet-braised lamb shanks, wild game
such as elk or boar, London broil, filet of beef in puffed pastry, beef short ribs or
rich chocolate desserts like pot de crème.
Generations Cabernet is drinking well now with the potential to age 15-20
years past the vintage date.

The Napa wine industry really took off in the 1980's, when vineyard...Read More About Napa Valley
(cab-uhr-NAY sow-veeh-yawn) King of Red Many refer to Cabernet Sauvignon as the king of red grapes. Perhaps that title is due to its ability to grow worldwide in a number of climates, or to the fact that it produces wine with such character yet such diversity. Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...Read More About Cabernet Sauvignon
