Winemaker's Notes

A blend of 60% Macabeo, 20% Xarel-lo and 20% Parellada from 100% estate-bottled fruit, the Brut "L'Hereu" from Raventos is simply one of the best examples of Cava available at this (or any) price point!

This Cava has an exotically perfumed bouquet of pear, orange, toasty lees and anise, along with a suave floral quality. On the palate, orchard fruit flavors are complemented by honeysuckle and bitter orange pith. Impressively complex and powerful Cava with a long, smoky, mineral-driven finish.

Critical Acclaim

"The latest releases include the 2008 L’Hereu. It offers up an expressive minerality along with notions of brioche, spring flowers, and white fruits. Mouth-filling and elegant, it delivers excellent value for the money. "

Well, status for one - many vintage Champagnes are...
