Winemaker's Notes

This wine is anything but evil. What could be nicer than top-rate Cabernet fruit from some of South Australia's best regions made into a voluptuous wine by Chris Ringland, wrapped into an edgy package at a steal of a price.

Lifted nose of rich, jammy black currant and smoky vanillin. A complex palate of pickled black olive, smoky bacon and hints of dark chocolate.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2008 Evil Cabernet was partially aged in French and American oak, the balance in tank. It displays violets, black currant and blackberry scents leading to a full-bodied, smooth-textured, layered wine that over-delivers for its modest price. Drink it over the next 3 years. "
