"The 2006 Evil Cabernet Sauvignon saw 25% of the wine aged in French oak. It reveals a fragrant bouquet of cedar and black currants. Fruit-driven, full-bodied, with tons of flavor, this Cabernet is an exceptional value. It will provide pleasure over the next 6-8 years. R Wines is a new company founded by importer and marketing genius, Dan Philips, along with co-owner, renowned winemaker, Chris Ringland. Winemakers for R Wines are Chris Ringland, Lisa Wetherell, Andrew Hercock, and John Hughes. It encompasses four familiar labels, Marquis Philips, 3 Rings, Roogle, and Bitch, along with 13 others created especially for R Wines. Needless to say, the packaging of these wines is amazingly creative but, more importantly, what is in the bottle consistently over-delivers from low-end to high-end." - Wine Advocate
My wife and I got the itch to open a bottle one random week night for "a" glass of wine. After taking a few sips of this delicious wine, I knew the bottle would be gone. This wine is one of the best "bang for the buck" wines I have tasted. It was velvety smooth with notes of cherry and chocolate. Be careful with this bottle, its evil!
Wonderful value. Easy to drink with just enough nose and complexity to tempt one to lie about the price. It drinks >2x its price.
A full bodied cab at a great price. Considering its youthful age it does not taste very young. At $10 a bottle, a great buy. The packaging is quite cool too.
i ordered this bottle in an attempt to try something new. both the rating and the price led me to say, "why not?" and i'm glad I did. Great red for having a glass after work or with dinner. the bottle was gone in less than a week. I would definitely order this again and recommend to friends.
I am new to wine. I have been a bourbon/whiskey/scotch drinker for a long time. I have had several various wines over the last few years and found little enjoyment in any of them. Evil cabernet sauvignon has changed that. This wine has inspired me to move past my traditional vices and try new things. I have had several cabernet sauvignons in the past and this has been the first to impress me enough to finish the bottle and buy another. I recommend this to anyone who is in doubt of wine or anyone who wants to try something new. I do not consider myself a wine afficionado by any means, but this bottle has inspired me to pursue a new avenue of beverage completely different from those I prefer. This wine may be my conversion from bourbon to red.
An OK Cabernet with nothing special about it.
This cab is a good value, but it tasted a little young to me. I personally like a more full bodied cab.
