Wine Style Guide
Red wines that are more fruit-forward and lighter in tannin and body.
Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.
Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.
Full bodied wines that have concentrated fruit and are higher in alcohol and/or tannins. Some need age.
Quinta do Vale Meao Duoro Meandro is a deep red color. It has a very live and expressive fruit aromas and flavors. There is very good balance on the palate, showing great elegance and a remarkable long finish.
"Full-bodied, ripe and plush with a surplus of dark plum, dark cherry and kirsch flavors. Silky tannins and creamy notes power the spicy finish."
"The 2007 MEANDRO DO VALE MEAO is very fine for a second wine, relatively deep, bright, beautifully balanced and well structured. It has some complexity, too. I loved the texture, too."
