Critical Acclaim

"The 2008 Langhe Nebbiolo shows gorgeous depth and purity in a core of dark fruit, spices and minerals. The finish is long and polished, especially for a wine at this level. This fresh, vinous Nebbiolo offers terrific balance and is a great choice for readers who want to begin an exploration into Nebbiolo – one of the world's noble grapes – without breaking the bank. Once again, the Produttori have turned out what may very well be the very finest value in Nebbiolo, and all from young vines in Barbaresco to boot! Anticipated maturity: 2009-2016."

2008 vintage...Probably could have saved it for a couple more years but was a rough week at work and was craving Italian...Barbaresco has always been my fave Italian and this did not disappoint. Just drinking it by itself on a lovely fall evening, glistening legs, very drinkable and enjoyable now. I like

It is not the most planted variety, but it does make the most distinctive and age-worthy wines. Native to Piedmont, Nebbiolo is a bit of a soil snob - it's finicky about where it grows and has long been the honored red grape of Northern Italy...
