Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.

Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.

Alcohol By Volume: 14.8%

Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

The wine displays a stunning pure Cabernet character, expressing red cherry, ripe plum, blueberry, rose petals and smoke. The texture on the palate is lithe yet structured, with an endlessly sumptuous mid-palate exploding onto a framework of ripe tannins.

Critical Acclaim

"The outrageously delicious 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon Vintner’s Select (100% Napa fruit) possesses sweet blackberry, cassis, licorice, chocolate, charcoal and graphite aromas. A classic 2007 on the palate with a voluptuous texture as well as tremendous opulence, purity and depth, this broadly flavored, expansive wine cuts quite a swath across the palate with no hard edges."

Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...
