Medium bodied reds that go down easy, with smooth tannins and supple fruit.

Earthy & Spicy

Wines where earthy and/or spicy dominate the flavors – typically medium to full body.

Alcohol By Volume: 15.0%

Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

An intense, full-bodied wine with red fruit, blackberry and spice. Lingering tannins over a long, smoky finish. Bright raspberry, blackberry, black pepper and smoky oak. Bold red raspberry, cherry, juicy blackberry, black pepper with smooth tannins.

Pair with short ribs or a juicy burger.

Critical Acclaim

"Juicy and toasted with some sweet raspberry fruit and cinnamon spice; tangy, fresh and balanced. "

Excellent zin with grapes from Lodi. This zin has an earthy tast with a hint of smoke and berries. I ordered a couple of bottles and am ordering more today. Great value for this wine!

Love this wine! Very surprising experience for the price point. Paired with grilled food where the smokey finish resonated and totally added to meal. Immediately bought some more after dinner - it was that good.
