Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

This is a spicy, creamy, intense and persistent wine. There is sweet, warm and ripe fruit, and the wine remains fresh with a long finish. There is a long ageing potential.

Critical Acclaim

"This is a super Burgundian-like Chardonnay with minerals, apples and hints of lime. Full body, yet fresh and vibrant with an incredible finish of vanilla, ripe apples and peaches. So intense at the end. 100% barrel fermented for about 10 months then aged for about 10 months, – also in barrel. One-third maloactic. Best ever from here. Drink or hold. "
94 Points

"Lime and apple flavors are singed by oak spice in this sleek white, revealing a mineral undercurrent. Balanced and intense, building to a long aftertaste of citrus and spice. "
