Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

The 2012 vintage of this extraordinary blend enchants the nose with a refreshing bouquet of succulent fruit and delicate florals, opening with juicy honeydew melon, sweet white peach, and ripe green plum touched with hints of spiced white tea and soft apple blossom. The vivacious palate leads with crisp yellow grapefruit, fresh-cut pineapple and sumptuous honeyed pear notes. Lush and lively fruit flavors linger through the clean and slightly off-dry finish.

Critical Acclaim

"A consistent winner in the value sweepstakes, this offering from winemaker Michael Beaulac is a blend of 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Viognier. This dry white offers a stunning aromatic display of honeydew melons, spring flowers, pears and cantaloupe. The sumptuous perfume is followed by a wine with crisp, zesty acids, medium body, and abundant purity as well as freshness. The Viognier component no doubt pushes this delightful white toward an exotic, tropical fruit-flavored style. Luckily, there are 87,000 cases produced. This beauty is meant to be consumed over the next year."

Love it! A little sweetness with lots of fruit. Easy to enjoy with cheese or lighter fare.

This wine never disappoints. It is lovely alone, or paired with almost anything-of course, I will drink white with anything. This is one of the greatest value wines available

This has turned out to be one of my favorite whites. It's crisp and slightly sweet but not cloying. Even my spouse likes it and he's not fond of many wines. I'll keep buying this wine as long as it's available.
