Pieve di Santa Restituta Brunello Di Montalcino Rennina (1.5 L) 1995

Hills and dense woods surround this romantic, medieval town. The soils, altitude and lush hillside topography make Montalcino the cradle of both the Sangiovese grape and coveted wine Brunello di Montalcino. In 1994, Angelo Gaja acquired Pieve S. Restituta, named for the parish church, or "pieve", located on the estate. Wine has been produced on the property since the 12th century. Here, GAJA produces three world-renowned wines. Rennina is made from the Sangiovese of three vineyard sites on the property. Sugarille is a single-vineyard Brunello that takes its name from an area first recorded in the inventory of the Pieve compiled in 1547. Brunello di Montalcino is the estate’s newest wine, produced from select vineyard sites throughout the Pieve Santa Restituta estate.
