Winemaker's Notes:
Made from 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, the Perrin Vacqueyras is from vineyards neighboring those of Beaumes de Venise and Cotes du Ventoux, where the soil is stony clay. Matured in vat, cask and barrl, the wine is rich and ripe, full of aromas evocative of leather and amber. On the palate, it has soft silky tannins and great concentration.
"Rich, ripe and ultrasilky, with fat tannins that give this full-bodied wine a creamy and velvety texture. Dark fruit blends with charcoal, grilled meat, licorice and espresso notes on the lovely finish. From the brothers who make Château Beaucastel. Drink now through 2007." -Wine Spectator |
