Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Deep ruby with wild berries, raspberries, plums and fig aromas. The medium-bodied, fruity, soft, and well balanced palate has a long, smooth finish.

My wife and I have been blown away by this wine. Drinks like a $40 bottle. Has a great forward taste and just enough complexity to make it interesting. We have paired it with meat and fish to good result.

Bad start to this wind since 3 of the 12 bottles had cracks. Taste was sweet and pleasant upon first savoring the wine with my wife, BUT for every bottle that we had not finished and was consumed the following day, the wine had a completely different taste, that of vinigar.
