Low yields and hand harvesting indicate the care given to the superior fruit from this single-vineyard winery located on a gravelly slope in the Maipo Valley. These standards extend to the wine-making process, with meticulous grape selection and aging in French oak
barrels for 14 to 18 months.
This is a complex and velvety wine with abundant wild berry and cassis flavors and a whisper of eucalyptus. It will benefit from three to five years of bottle aging.
I was about three glasses short of having enough for the meal so this was the second wine of the evening. Dinner was beef tenderloin, field greens with stilton, sun dried maters and walnuts. I was pretty happy with the wine we were drinking but this took it to a whole nother level. I'm mostly glad I'm not a pretentious wine snot as I would not have not known I should not have enjoyed this wine this much. I'm three glasses in and wish I had a few more bottles, but sadly, this is the only one. When they ask would I buy this wine again they really need a box that says YES YES YES
