Winemaker's Notes:
"The 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape Bargeton is an elegant, Pinot Noir-on-steroids-like effort displaying a dark ruby/purple color, abundant quantities of black fruits, a touch of herbes de Provence, sweet licorice, and candied red and black fruits. It is a medium to full-bodied, dense, concentrated, moderately tannic Chateauneuf to consume over the next 10-12 years." 90-93 Points Wine Advocate February 2007
"Explosive red and dark fruit aromas, with complicating licorice and garrigue tones. Deep, concentrated and very sweet, with a sappy texture and pure raspberry and bitter cherry flavors. The finish builds and deepens, displaying outstanding fruit concentration and sauve, velvety tannins. This is fresh, and it's 16.3% alcohol." 93 Points International Wine Cellar January/February 2007 |
