Winemaker's Notes

The 1998 Pinot Blanc was fermented in a selection of oak barrels, of which 30% were new. This 100% Pinot Blanc shows apple, peach and melon flavors. Crisp acidity balances with a creamy flavor and texture from complete malolactic fermentation and the time spent in oak.

Due to the small crop size in 1998, no Reserve Pinot Blanc was made. The 1998 Pinot Blanc therefore represents the most concentrated flavors from the L-shaped Pinot Blanc canyon vineyard, with slightly more focus on rich barrel character than previous vintages.
