Winemaker's Notes

Light gold straw, intense and seamlessly integrated aromas of white peach, orange peel, clementines, toasted oak and fresh cardamom stream from the glass. On the palate, flavors of honeysuckle and orange blossoms are enriched with notes of fresh roasted almonds. Supple and elegant, with balanced acidity, great depth, volume and focus, this wine is the consummate expression of Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.

Critical Acclaim

"Pahlmeyer’s spectacular 2012 Chardonnay offers abundant aromas of hazelnuts, buttered citrus, tropical fruits and honeysuckle intermixed with a touch of tangerine oil. It cuts a full-bodied swath across the palate, and possesses good acidity, exuberant fruit and an undeniably sexy style."
95 Points

"Intense, with pure, rich, vivid pear, apricot, apple and spice notes that take on a cedar and hazelnut edge on the finish, gaining length and depth. Ends with a burst of anise and smoke. Drink now through 2020. "

Learn About Pahlmeyer Map ItMap It

Jayson Pahlmeyer has been producing highly sought-after wines since 1986. It began with Jayson's dream to make world-class Bordeaux-style wine from Napa Valley. Pahlmeyer's estate vineyard - Waters Rance - is situated at 2100 feet in the Atlas Peak appellation of Napa Valley. It is the key source for their Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Malbec and Chardonnay. Jayson's passion eventually led him to the Sonoma Coast, where less than seven miles and two ridges from the Pacific Ocean, he planted Wayfarer Farm, their key source for Pinot Noir.
