Rich, spicy and over-flowing with dark fruit personality, this is a delightful example which, despite its weight and power, does not want for Stéphane Ogier's famously elegant style. This wine is 90% Grenache with Syrah and Mourvèdre; matured for a year in concrete vats.
"Roughly 80% grenache, with syrah and a bit of mourvedre; vinified entirely with whole clusters): Deep ruby. Musky smoke- and spice-tinged aromas of raspberry, cherry pit and garrigue are lifted by a peppery element and a touch of lavender. Silky, penetrating and appealingly sweet on the palate, offering lively red fruit and floral pastille flavors that put on weight with air. Closes smooth and long, with velvety tannins coming on late."
