Winemaker's Notes

This deep red-purple colored wine has a rich nose with aromas of black fruits such as blackberries. Additional notes of cloves, dried plums, almonds, tobacco leaves, a touch of vanilla and liquorice, traditional to Odfjell's terroir, add complexity. Full bodied, juicy, with firm, ripe, velvety tannins and a long finish.

Critical Acclaim

"A top-notch value Cabernet with no flaws. The fruit on the nose is pretty and stylish but doesn't force the issue, while the palate is juicy and fresh with flavors of cola, cassis and wild berry. Not a complicated wine, but one that pushes all the right buttons. Ripe and friendly to the last drop. A lot of wine for the money. Best Buy."

Berry and cherry aroma and taste with soft tannins and nice finish. Medium-bodied, easy drinking. Not a heavy-weight Cab Sav (which I love). Still a nice wine and an excellent value.

Learn About Chile

(CHEE-lay) Long and thin, Chile has a lot of land north to south. The wine region here is a series of districts based near Santiago. The vineyards are protected by the Pacific on the west and the Andes mountains on the east. This could help explain why the climate changes more from east to west than north to south - also why the country has remained phylloxera free....

Learn About Cabernet Sauvignon

(cab-uhr-NAY sow-veeh-yawn) King of Red Many refer to Cabernet Sauvignon as the king of red grapes. Perhaps that title is due to its ability to grow worldwide in a number of climates, or to the fact that it produces wine with such character yet such diversity. Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...
