Winemaker's Notes

The Icon philosophy is to employ the best fruit, from the best vineyard sites each vintage. The wine style is a culmination of the past few years' research on specific viticulture techniques, special attention to vineyard sites and a winemaking emphasis on fruit structure and balance. The wine has the expected traditional Marlborough sauvignon blanc bouquet of gooseberries, nettles and rich herbal characters complemented by an overlay of ripe tropical fruit. The palate is complex, strongly varietal with endless mouth feel finishing clean and balanced.

"This brisk, floral New Zealand wine brims with pear, grapefruit and passion fruit aromas and flavors, which linger effortlessly on the vibrant finish. Drink now. 14,000 cases made."
-Wine Spectator
