Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

A rich, mouth filling Pinot Noir with full dark fruit flavors, good weight. and subtle oak complexity. The attractive, velvety tannin structure is persistent to the finish.

Perfect with rack of lamb, and also with excellent with richly flavored seafood dishes, especially tuna and salmon.

Cellar with confidence for up to 6 years.

Critical Acclaim

"Very precise, with ripe raspberry, tart cherry, mint, mineral, orange peel and cherry blossom notes that all come together in a beautiful chorus. The tannins are firm, but this is smooth and appealing. Drink now through 2016. 4,000 cases made."
