Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Deep plum red with purple tinged edge. Appealing fruit aromas showing mulberry and cassis characters with subtle mint. The fruit is complemented by light spice and toasty oak characters. The medium-bodied palate features ripe black currant and red berry flavors together with regional mint notes supported justly by sweet vanillin oak. The wine is well balanced with fine soft tannins and finishes with lingering savory fruit flavors.

Try this Cabernet with Australian lamb infused with rosemary and garlic or perhaps a sharp cheddar at the end of the meal.
