Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Napa Cellars 2012 Sauvignon Blanc has vibrant aromas of ruby red grapefruit, key lime and hints of grass. The 100% stainless steel fermentation allows the wine to retain the fresh fruit flavors of pineapple, guava, passion fruit and citrus tones. The wine has a lush mouthfeel of delicately balanced acid and fruit with a fresh, crisp lemon zest finish.

Pair the Napa Cellars 2012 Sauvignon Blanc with crab cakes or chicken kebabs for a delightful and light food pairing.
