Winemaker's Notes

Wine Style
Vendimia, which means 'harvest' or 'vintage' in Spanish, is the proprietary name for this Bordeaux-style blend. Vendimia is a subtle, sophisticated wine that has elegance and finesse. Each varietal was aged separately in small oak barrels before being masterfully blended to showcase the best attributes of each of the grape types.

Flavor Profile
The 1999 Vendimia has cherry and cassis aromas and flavors from the Cabernet Sauvignon and the Merlot, along with a nice level of mint from the Cabernet Franc. The wine is rounded out with well-integrated vanilla and chocolate flavors. The tannins, which are greatly aided by the small percentage of Petite Verdot, are smooth and, combined with the acid, will allow the wine to age well for many years.
