Winemaker David Ready Jr. notes: "We use the Goode-Ready designation when

The 2004 Goode-Ready Merlot is luscious on the palate. Bright acidity balances the
plentiful, jammy fruit flavors and makes this Merlot highly food friendly. Oak
barrel aging (40% new, 90% air-dried American) contributed toasty aromas of
sweet smoke, toffee and cedar. This wine is enjoyable now and has the structure
to improve with time.
This wine is a great complement to grilled dishes. Try with fresh,
spicy sausage or marinated tri-tip.
