Winemaker's Notes

The benchland and hillside vineyards on the eastern edge of the Alexander Valley give us pure flavors of wild blackberries, ripe plums and fresh herbs that make up the luscious core of this wine. Full and rich on the palate with soft, supple tannins, this is a classic Alexander Valley Cabernet.

The vivid, dark fruit flavors and structure of this wine make it a versatile complement to spring lamb rubbed with garlic and rosemary, a variety of slow-cooked stews, marinated and grilled wild game, good steaks and aged cheeses.

Either way, this grape is responsible, as a whole or a partner, for some of the greatest wines in the world. In Bordeaux,...
