Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

Though dry, this Sauvignon Blanc is full and fruity. On the nose, it presents a bouquet of tropical fruit. These aromas are backed up on the palate by flavors of pineapple and green mango, finishing with a bracing flash of lime crispness.

Critical Acclaim

"Pale bright yellow. Sexy aromas of orange and pineapple complicated by clove, nutmeg and minerals. Then round, dense and almost honeyed on the palate, with a touch of sweetness leavened by dusty minerality. Chewy, concentrated, very ripe sauvignon with a long finish given lift by a refreshing hint of bitterness."
