Aromas of ginger, sliced apple and pear with hints of dried pineapple and honey. It's not clear and needs to be stood up for a few days and decanted first. Full body, dense and rich like a red wine with a long and flavorful finish. It's like biting into an orange with all its juice and fruit. This was made with no sulfur. Totally nautral. No filteration. Lots of lee sediment in the bottle making it cloudy. Made from ribolla gialla.

Deeply golden in color, this has the floral- and yeast-laced nose of a fine Lambic beer, with more delicacy on the palate. Subtle notes of macerated apricot, ground clove, dried orange peel and toasted almond are well-integrated with the rapierlike acidity and light tannins. Offers a long, saline-tinged finish. Ribolla. Drink now through 2023.

A warm gold color implies the generous texture of this wine. It's fattened up by alcohol and fruit-skin tannin, the briny lees of the structure completely filled by a deep orange fruit flavor. Tart, cidery acidity cleans it up, leaving spice and white tea scents in the finish. Serve with roast veal and spaetzle.
There are hundreds of white grape varieties grown throughout the world. Some are indigenous specialties capable of producing excellent single varietal wines. Each has its own distinct viticultural characteristics, as well as aroma and flavor profiles.
A picturesque, eastern European wine growing nation, Slovenia can claim one of the most ancient winemaking cultures in all of Europe. Its history dates back to the Celts and Illyrians tribes, well before the Romans had any influence on France, Spain or Germany. But it wasn’t until the 1970s that Slovenia developed a more refined, private-sector wine industry.
Today it is a powerful source of some of the industry’s most important orange wines (whites made with extended skin contact); furthermore, fully three quarters of the country’s wine production is white.
Slovenian weather is continental with hot summers and cold, wet winters. It is divided into three wine regions: Podravje in Slovenia’s northeast; Primorska in its west, close to Italy; and Posavje in its southeast. These are further divided to nine wine districts.
