Enticing aromas of dark cherry, brambly berry, bay leaf,
anise, and toasty oak layer on the nose, highlighted by notes of clove
and black pepper. Intense and complex.
Full-bodied and robust. Well-knit flavors of dark cassis,
cherries, bay leaf, and vanilla are interwoven in this rich and
structured wine. Dense mountain expression fills the palate, with
nuances of clove, plum, and sage lingering on the finish.
Smooth & Supple
Loved the 2007 much more than the 2006. Expressive nose and very smooth with aerated pour. This wine is ready NOW! Delightful!
Does not reach the the zenith of other Mount Veeder producers. Neither big nor nuanced.
