Winemaker's Notes:

Fermented and aged along a classic method of open top small fermentors, punched down by hand, then once in barrel, no movement in the cellar for twenty months. Aromas of raspberries and plums continue with signature elements of wintergreen and dill. Visceral red meat/root spice flavors dominate the palate. Youthful and penetrating, give this wine a few years rest in your cellar and drink over the following seven to ten years.
My Notes:

About Mount Eden Vineyards:

Mount Eden Vineyards is a small historic wine estate located on a 2000-foot peak in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Founded in 1942 by Martin Ray, their estate vineyards have consistently produced world-class Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon for over a half-century. In addition to their estate wines, they purchase Chardonnay grapes from the mature MacGregor Vineyard in the Edna Valley Appellation outside of San Luis Obispo.
