Winemaker's Notes

A beautiful straw color gives way to a zesty nose of lemon, baked Red Delicious apples, and Tahitian vanilla. A vibrant and complex nose overall; this vintage has hints of clove and honeycomb wafting in the background. Full tropical fruit shows through on the palate: guava and breadfruit, with honey and crisp acidity. Light hints of toasted marshmallow and spice linger in the nish. The balance of this wine's medium body with its lively acidity opens up a wide array of possibly food pairings. It could pair equally well with a broiled lobster tail, or as an accompaniment to simple creamy risotto. But we think it immediately evokes a beach towel, a bucket of fresh oysters, and a sunny day.

Critical Acclaim

"Delivers lots of bang for the buck. Shows real Chardonnay character, with rich vanilla cream-infused flavors of ripe pineapples, pears, and sauteed banana, buttered toast and honey. At this price, it's fantastic buy that can stand next to Chards costing far more. Best Buy."

The price was wonderful for a Chardonnay with this complexity. This has a real buttery and vanilla taste without being to heavy, and finishes with a slight taste of oak.

This wine has the nose of a cleaning solvent and taste to match. TERRIBLE!

The atmosphere of Sonoma is decidedly laid back and down home country style. But in wines, they are keeping up with the...
