Winemaker's Notes

This Merlot has a deep, intense red color. On the nose it presents red berries aromas, especially of cherry and strawberries, accompanied by interesting floral notes which are perfectly blended with the coffee and tobacco flavors associated from its twelve months of oak ageing

On the palate it's a full-bodied wine of great finesse with a long, smooth and pleasant finish

Critical Acclaim

"Ruby-red. Exotically perfumed bouquet of cherry-cola, black raspberry and sexy oak spices. Supple and gently sweet on the palate, with no rough edges to the vivid cherry and dark berry flavors. Suave and alluring merlot with good finishing breadth and lingering spiciness. This is already delicious."
90 Points

"Medium plum hue. Complex scents of raspberry, mocha and sweet tobacco. Sweet flavors of wild cherry and raspberry. Velvety tannins and hints of leather in the juicy, raspberry-soaked close."
90 Points

Learn About Merlot

Merlot(mehr-LOW) No second fiddle Merlot is coming back into its own. High popularity led to mass production, which then led to a backlash towards the variety (remember Miles in Sideways?). But passionate Merlot producers, and of course the right bank of Bordeaux, continued to produce quality versions of this grape. Merlot remains the principle grape of top chateaux in St...
