#38 Wine Spectator Top 100 of 2013
Deep crimson-purple, this wine brings together the best of these varieties – a big fruit impact, fine tannin structure, fresh acidity and silky texture this is a seamless wine showing incredible depth and amazing length. With an array of fruit, blackcurrant, berries and plum accompanied by lifted oak, vanilla and warm spice this wine is a journey not to be missed. Two Left Feet is rich and generous, a harmonious blend with a persistent finish.

A smooth, structured, fruity, easy-drinking party pleaser. I've shared and consumed about a half-case of this little guy over the past year. I'm reminded of the time last easter when I was more impressed by this shiraz cab blend than the highly regarded italian super tuscan that I had the night before (a wine no less than four times more expensive). What makes mollydooker work in this vintage is the quality of the cabernet; yes, the very forward blackberry fruit is there, but it's really the sage and mocha notes on the backend that make this wine come alive. Positively delightful! A no brainer for WS top 100 at this price point.
This one takes quite a while to open up. Even with the "Mollydooker Shake" it remains very sharp at first taste. After the shake, we decanted this wine and it took another 20 mins or so before it was tasteful. Once this happened, it was a pleasant wine, with a smooth back-end.
