A powerful blend of all our favorite red varieties (Shiraz, Cab, Merlot), it has incredible depth and complexity. Named for what happens when Sparky dances with Sarah!
The grapes were grown on the Longbottom vineyard in Padthaway, the Birchmore vineyard in Langhorne Creek, the Gemtree and Mollydooker vineyards here in McLaren Vale.
Pairs with pizza, pasta, anything with a bit of spice, lasagna, pork, veal, osso bucco, lamb shanks, cheese.
"Blended of 68% Shiraz, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot, the 2009 Two Left Feet was aged in 88% American oak and 12% French, 52% new. Very deep garnet-purple in color, it offers pronounced notes of black currant cordial, blueberry pie filling, anise, chocolate and hints of eucalyptus, vanilla and baking spices. Very full-bodied and opulently fruited, the palate is well structured with crisp acid and medium-firm, fine-grained tannins. It’s a bit taut and disjointed at the moment, possibly requiring another 12 months to marry and then drinking to 2016+."
