Alcohol By Volume Guide

  • 10%
  • 16+%
Most wine ranges from 10-16% alcohol by volume. Some varietals tend to have higher (for example Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon) or lower alcohol levels (Pinot Noir and many white varietals), but there is always some variation from producer to producer. Some wine falls outside of this range, for instance Port weighs in closer to 20%, while Muscat and Riesling are usually a bit below 10%.

Winemaker's Notes

This sweet, fragrant, lightly sparkling wine has vivid aromas and flavors of peach and apricot on a light body with a delicate finish typical of Moscato d'Asti.

An excellent companion to fresh pastries and fruit such as strawberries and peaches.

Critical Acclaim

"The 2012 Moscato d'Asti Nivole stands apart from many other Moscatos for its distinct, tropical-inflected aromas and flavors. The Nivole is exotic and racy, with hints of peach, apricot, mango and white flowers to match is expressive personality."

This is a very nice wine for any meal. Best for those who enjoy sweet wines. The price and size is a drawback as it is $15.99 for only a half bottle. Not a good choice if serving several guests. Best for serving only 2 people. I don't think that it comes in a full bottle.
