Dark red with good density. Aromas of sweet red and black currants, brambly blackberry jam, black olive, dried herbs and violets. The wine has a soft entry, round with medium weight, toasty oak notes, and very good length.
The 2009 vintage reds are showing excellent quality and ripeness at slightly lower alcohol levels. The 2009 Starmont Cabernet Sauvignon is approachable now and should be consumed within 8 years of the vintage.
